The Coalition has received a massive 24-hour shot in the arm with top bookmaker Centrebet, with a surge of smart money across several cut-throat seats in the battleground state of QLD!

Centrebet's Neil Evans said widespread talk that Kevin Rudd´s treatment was the main reason hurting Laboŕs campaign was "trumped-up nonsense".

"The ALP is suffering more because of the shut-out of small and middle- ground mining companies during the great super profits debate, the fact 2007 was a pure protest vote against the long-running Howard Coalition, and finally QLD is easily the one State where actual State politics - Anna Bligh´s government - is detrimentally cutting into its own Federal margins!" Evans said.

“Apart from a few delusional supporters, Kevin Rudd´s return to the fray might help him, but it won’t help the current PM’s campaign as far as undecided voters go!"

In key Seat moves in the last 24 hours, the LNP´s Andrew Laming has charged into $1.42 (from $1.50) after punters almost unanimously declared he would win Australia's most marginal seat of Bowman ahead of Labor's Jenny Peters ($2.40 out to $2.66).

And fears Liberal front-bencher Peter Dutton would lose the knife-edge seat of Dickson have been re-buffed by punters, with very smart money pushing him from $1.77 into $1.66! Labor rival Fiona McNamara has blown from $1.94 to $2.10.

The seat of Fairfax looks gone for Labor with sitting Liberal Alex Somlyay one of the best backed candidates in the country, tightening from an opening $1.30 into a red-hot $1.14.

The anti-Bligh vote is pushing the LNP´s popular comeback man Warren Entsch towards victory, heavily backed from $1.80 into $1.50 against Laboŕs Jim Tounour (out to $2.42)!

Peter Slipper is set to clean up in Fisher, firming from $1.28 into $1.14, while the LNP´s Ken O’Dowd continues to dominate the money in the very marginal seat of Flynn! O’Dowd is rock solid at $1.50, while sitting Labor MP Chris Trevor has blown to $2.40.

And in the critical seat of Herbert, the LNP´s Ewan Jones has firmed from $1.77 into $1.72 after a rush of smart money! Labor's Tony Mooney is $1.94 out to $2.00! In Ryan, the LNP´s Jane Prentice remains $1.48 on Centrebet to beat Laboŕs Steve Miles ($2.47).

And there’s a battle royal in the seat of Dawson where both the LNP´s George Christensen ($1.57) and Labor’s Mike Brunker ($2.25) have both been heavily backed, although Christensen has the bet numbers by 3:1.

The two Labor candidates who look headed for victory in competitive seats are Brett Raguse ($1.70) in Forde and the very heavily backed Jon Sullivan ($1.43) in Longman.

Nearly $20,000.00 spread across several bets has come for Labor at $1.56 in the last 24 hours, but a short time ago, two separate bets arrived for the Coalition - $15,000.00 and $3,000.00 – both at the $1.85 Line with 5.5 seats start!
